Elegant Design in the heart of the nature.

The “Hotel Freigeist” (“Freethinker”) saluted
its first guest: In the middle of the Forrest, in the middle of Germany.
Located in idyllic woodland, far away from the daily noise and stress,
is this new 62 room hotel with spacious function- & banquette facilities
an oasis and inspiration for both business and leisure clients.
Through the innovative design the guest always keep focus on the nature
due to large window fronts, which combine modern and timeless elements.
Both for golfers, leisure- and conference guests good to know: the
“Hotel Freigeist” gives the local tourism a new impact.
There is a “Grand opening” special rate until March 2009
available: Single room Euro 69,- and Double room Euro 99,-- per night.
Almost 40 local companies had been involved in building and refurbishing
the “Hotel Freigeist”. The owners, Carl Earl of Hardenberg
and Georg Rosentreter, invested appr. 5 Million Euro in this new project.
The high grade oakplanks for example, which are used in the guestrooms-,
banquette- and restaurant areas, are from the Hardenberg Lumber trade,
operated by Ferdinand Earl of Hardenberg.
Since starting the construction work eight month ago, more than 2300
square meter of existing grounds had been refurbished and approximately
1700 square meter were added.
The result is a friendly, spacious ambience with plenty of daylight
and room to breathe.
The creative concept puts a clear focus on straight and unspoiled design.
The main responsibility for the interior work had Groebner-Interior
from Hamburg.
Natural materials such as oak floors or bricked dressed stonewalls conciliate
a cozy flair and are a homage of the charming landscape that surrounds
the hotel.
But nothing without contrasts: a clear accent sets an open fireplace
in the bar- and restaurant area made out of steel. A unique masterpiece
especially designed for the hotel, as well as an elegant steel staircase
to the gallery over the lobby.
A well-done color mix of warm beige and clear tones of violet and turquoise
determine the elegant, modern appearance of the hotel.
Original artworks of the Painter Goran Djurovic from Berlin illuminate
an individual character. “My paintings are fitting perfectly into
the concept of the “Hotel Freigeist”. They are ambiguous
and not focused on delivering a message. Everyone can discover himself
in the pictures” says Mr. Djurovic.
Another artwork of this “Freethinker” is the impressive
Installation of various brass fish, which are floating just above the
restaurant and hotel lobby.
The “Hotel Freigeist” is a hideaway for those people which
would like to recover from the daily grind.
The “Restaurant im Hotel Freigeist” offers mainly regional
dishes made out of fresh products from Lower Saxony and is open from
Tuesday – Sunday 12:00 – 14:00 and 18:00 – 21:30.
